Patients with weak cheekbone structure, the appearance may be beautifully enhanced with cheek augmentation. Board specialized Plastic Surgeons at Pacific Palisades Plastic Surgery Center can consult with you and do a comprehensive facial analysis. Cheek augmentation may be recommended depending on the patients’ goals and expectations. There are surgical and non-surgical options available that are very effective including fillers and stem cell injections.
Other conservative minimally invasive procedure performed in the office under oral sedation includes fat injections and PRP.
For patients with good underlying bone structure who have merely aged with laxity of the skin, the cheek may be restored to its youthful position using an endoscopic mid-facelift and/or facial lipo-contouring (Facial Fat Transfer).
One of the signs of aging is the loss of the plump round cheeks typical of youth. This occurs because of gravitational changes pulling the cheek ‘mound’ down and also because of an overall loss of facial volume. As we age we lose youthful fat cells in the cheeks and sometimes gain fat cells in the waist-line.
Fortunately, with a little help those extra cells in the waist, we can use these to replace the lost volume in the face. This is done using a minimally invasive tiny incision in the belly area to gather the cells. The cells are processed and then placed into the cheek and facial area without incisions using microcannulas to help restore youthful facial contours.
